A Kansas City man was killed in a Ray County UTV accident over the weekend.
The UTV was driven by 28-year-old Michael Nitsch of Rayville on a 2003 Polaris UTV and turned onto a gravel road, began sliding on gravel, crossed and ran off the left side of the road, and overturned. A passenger, 29-year-old Max Deitrickson of Kansas City was ejected from the vehicle with the UTV coming to rest on top of Dietrickson, who was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the UTV was not injured.
