The Chillicothe City Council meets Monday at 5:30 pm at the CMU office. The meeting will include a public hearing to set the Tax Rate for the city.
The meeting will begin with the payment of bills and salaries.
The Tax Rate Hearing will be held to consider the rate of .8779 per $100 valuation. That includes .6852 for the General Fund and .1927 for the Park Fund. The rate is down .0083 from 2020.
Under appearances, the council will consider:
A request to close Simpson Park on September 18th for a Scouting Event
A discussion on the Codes violation processes and procedures
A discussion about nuisance property abatement at 615 Vine, 1016 Cherry, and 1547 Bryan.
The council will discuss and consider a request to reduce the demolition assessment fee for a tax sale property.
An ordinance will be presented for the use of shipping and storage containers.
There will be a discussion about the American Tower Contract
A discussion is planned for the ordinance regarding vehicles for hire
The police department will request a change in the curfew age due to the juvenile age raised to 18.
Main Street will have a request to hold a craft beer event on September 17th.
An executive session is planned to follow the regular meeting.
