State Troopers report two arrests and two accidents over the weekend in the area counties.
Saturday morning in Chariton county, A 14-year-old girl was injured in a UTV accident. According to the report, at about 10:00 am, the girl was on Bee Branch Avenue near Wein, when she lost control on the gravel road and the UTV overturned and she was ejected. The girl was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.
Saturday at about 9:00 pm in Linn County, a two-vehicle accident left a Chillicothe woman with minor injuries. State Troopers report 56-year-old Linda Snuffer of Chillicothe was westbound on US 36 near Laclede, and stopped suddenly for a vehicle that was making a turn. She was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Randall Cooper of Purdin. Snuffer was taken to Hedrick Medical Center in Chillicothe for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing safety belts.
Saturday at about 10:35 pm in Putnam County, Troopers arrested 23-year-old Kristie Coin of Galt for alleged DWI and no insurance. She was processed and released.
Saturday at about 8:50 pm, in Daviess County, Troopers arrested 60-year-old Betty A Hoyle of Pleasant Hill for alleged DWI and careless and imprudent driving. She was taken to the Clinton County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
