Details have been released for some upcoming preseason jamborees that involve Chillicothe High School Sports teams.
The Hornets Football team will compete in a multi-team jamboree on Friday August 20th at Moberly High School. The team will have 18 offensive and 18 defensive plays in the Jamboree. Chillicothe will play Hallsville at 6:00pm and Centralia at 6:45pm.
The Hornet Boys Soccer team will compete in a jamboree on Saturday the 21st at Excelsior Springs High School. Chillicothe will face Kearney in the second round and Excelsior Springs in the third round. Each round is 35 minutes with a ten-minute break between scrimmages.
The Chillicothe Volleyball team will scrimmage Monday the 23rd, also at Excelsior Springs.
Chillicothe will scrimmage first against Excelsior Springs, then against Smithville and finish against Lawson. Competition begins at 6:00pm. Each scrimmage will be two sets to 15 points.
The Lady Hornets Softball team will travel to Cameron for a Jamboree on the 21st. Chillicothe plays Cameron at 10am and Plattsburg at 11:00am. It will include free substituting of players, each half inning ends after 3 outs of five runs scored and each game will be three innings, or one hour of play.
