The Chillicothe Police Department received 69 calls for service on Friday, August 13th.
At 7:53 AM, Officers took a report of alleged sexual exploitation of a minor. This investigation is ongoing.
9:24 AM, Officers responded to the 1000 block of First Street, for a report of a dog bite. A report was taken and the animal and owner have been identified, charges are pending.
11:00 AM, Officers responded to the 20 block of Asher St., in reference to an unattended death investigation. Upon investigation, the Coroner ruled the death natural causes.
12:29 PM, Officers received a report about an accident that occurred on 08/12/2021 at 10:00 AM in the 1000 block of Graves Street. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.
1:06 PM, Officers responded to the 300 block of Jackson Street for a report of property damage. The investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified at this time.
1:47 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington St., in reference to a two-vehicle crash. Upon investigation, Officers identified both parties and established Driver 1 failed to yield while making a lane change and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported and no vehicles we towed from the scene.
7:43 PM, Officers responded to the 300 block of 11th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon Officers’ arrival, it was learned the subject had simply been arguing with someone on the phone.
9:59 PM, Officers responded to the area of Mansur Street for an odor of burning trash and ammonia. Officers were unable to locate any such odor.
Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and followed up with numerous investigations.
