The Chillicothe Street program that began this year is progressing through several areas of the community. City Administrator Darin Chappell says that includes chip seal and some of the paving work.
Chappell says the full-depth work will likely wait a while, but you may see additional asphalt work this fall.
As the chip seal work is completed, the city has been sweeping the streets to remove the loose material. That has been piled, for now, at the old prison site on Third Street.
The Street Department will continue with local projects as long as the weather permits.
