St Joseph Central scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to come from behind and beat the Chillicothe Softball team 6 to 3.
Chillicothe scored two in the third and one in the fifth innings. Central had one in the third and sixth innings.
In the seventh, A bunt, an error, a double, another bunt, a walk, a single to center field, a pop up and single resulted in the four run seventh.
The Lady Hornets had their chance with runners on the corners, but a ground out ended the game.
Chillicothe had a double and single for Hope Helton, a double for Jolie Bonderer and singles from Sophia Luetticke, Kinlei Boley, Mika Hibner and Halle Rucker. Boley took the loss, allowing six runs off nine hits, with six strike outs and four walks.
Coach Lee Rucker was pleased with his Lady Hornets team’s overall play. He stated “This kind of game helps us prepare for tough games later on.”
