A former Chillicothe resident, currently of Independence, 33-year-old Zachary Ryan Kerns was sentenced to 20 years in prison for two counts of possession of Child Pornography. The conviction was the result of a 2018 case developed by the Platte County Cyber Crimes Task Force. Livingston County Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren says the case resulted from downloads that were made while in Chillicothe. Kerns was sentenced in Daviess County Court by Judge Ryan Horsman to 10 years on each of two counts of possession of Child Pornography. The sentences are to be served consecutively
