Two children had serious injuries in an ATV accident in Chariton County. State Troopers report, Saturday at about 6:00 pm, a five-year-old boy from Mendon and an eight-year-old girl that was his passenger were both flown to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas following the accident on Zion Avenue, two miles southeast of Mendon.
