The Chillicothe Middle School softball team lost to Centralia’s Chester Boren Middle School 5 to 3. Chillicothe Coach Lendy Donoho said it was a tough loss to a team that was called “solid on both offense and defense.”
Donoho said Centralia was aggressive on the base pass. Chillicothe left six runners on base and had three errors on defense.
Chillicothe pitcher Landry Marsh had four strike outs and no walks.
The Chillicothe Middle School team had a run in the first, but gave up four runs in the fourth. They battled back to score two in the bottom of the fourth but gave up one more in top of the fifth inning. Chillicothe had four hits in the game.
