Lady Hornets Softball Blanks Savannah

Chillicothe’s Kinlei Boley had another strong outing in the circle to help the Lady Hornets Softball team beat Savannah 3 – 0.
Boley allowed just five hits with ten strike outs and two walks in the shut out victory. She pitched four innings of three-up-three-down softball in her seven innings of work.
Chillicothe Coach Lee Rucker had praise for the Savannah pitcher, saying she did a nice job of keeping Chillicothe off balance and not giving up many solid hits.
He also praised his team’s offensive savvy, saying “Our girls did a good job of manufacturing runs with bunts and aggressive base running. Good teams find ways to win and tonight we found a way. I’m proud of the team for that.”
On offense, lead off hitter Sophia Luetticke went three-for-three at the plate with three singles and scored twice. She also had two stolen bases.
Boley, Kirsten Dunn and Bre Pithan all had singles to help with the Lady Hornets victory.
