The Chillicothe Police Department responded to numerous calls over the weekend.
Sunday
5:24 a.m., Officers discovered a possible burglary at Shafer Park. The investigation is ongoing.
7:30 a.m., Officers took a report of a juvenile failing to return to their residence the night before in the 200 block of Samuel St. The incident will be forwarded to the Livingston County Juvenile Office.
12:20 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department to report information on a reported runaway juvenile. Officers took the information for follow-up.
2:12 p.m., Officers took a report of illegal dumping in the 1200 block of N. Washington St. The investigation is ongoing.
3:22 p.m., Officers retrieved lost property in the 1000 block of Graves St.
7:05 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department to report information on a reported runaway juvenile. Officers took the information for follow-up.
Saturday:
12:47 am, Officers assisted Sheriff’s Department and Highway Patrol with traffic control just west of the City limits on US 36 for a westbound tractor-trailer that had gone off the highway and overturned.
2:35 am, Officers reported to the 1200 block of Locust Street to the scene of an unattended death. The coroner’s Office contacted and outward appearances indicate appearance of self-inflicted death.
10:14 am, A subject that was on the Sheriff’s Department’s Most Wanted list was observed in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street and taken into custody on seven warrants. A passenger in the vehicle was also taken into custody on a drug charge. Investigation continuing.
1:09 pm, Officers responded to the intersection of Polk and Elm Street in regards to a two vehicle, non-injury accident. One driver received a citation for failure to yield.
3:12 pm, Officers responded to the 1400 block of Bryan Street to assist medical personal with a male individual who was unresponsive but was now awake. The person was reported to be intoxicated. Officers determined the individual had a child in his care at the time, was intoxicated and was taken into custody for child endangerment.
