The Chillicothe 8th grade “A” Team Volleyball team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 25-21, 21-25 and 15-8 best-of-three win over Carrollton.
Lyla Beetsma led Chillicothe Middle School with 17 points, followed by Ava Leamer with 6, Carman Woodworth and Emerie Kale each with four, Emerson Staton with 3 and Miley Kale with 1.
In Middle School Softball, Macon beat the CMS “A” team 13-2. Macon scored two in the first and nine runs in the second inning. Chillicothe scored twice in the top of the third but Macon answered with two more in the third.
Macon scored 13 runs off eight hits. Chillicothe Middle School had two runs off five hits.
At the plate, Landry Marsh had a triple and double, with singles from Hope Donoho, Jaiden Rodenberg and Maicee Albrecht.
