A No-Tax-Increase levy for construction of the second phase of the Elementary School project was proposed by the Chillicothe R-II School Superintendent Dan Wiebers at this week’s School Board meeting. Wiebers says this is for construction to house grades 2-5 at the Chillicothe Elementary School location.
Wiebers says the levy would raise$12.5 million through the sale of bonds.
He talked about the need for the new construction.
His recommendation to move forward with putting the Levy on the ballot was approved. The Levy issue could be in the April election.
