The Chillicothe Lady Hornets tennis team had some success in the Lafayette Invitational on Wednesday.
In doubles play Rylee Washburn and Izzy Garr beat a Maryville team 6-2, a Benton team 6-1, a LeBlond team 6-3 but lost to a different Maryville team 2-6 to finish in second place in their division.
Cami Carpenter and Leah Lourenco beat an Atchison, Kansas team 6-0, beat a Benton team 6-3, lost to a Bishop LeBlond team 5-7 then beat a Lafayette team 6-3 to finish in third place in their division.
In singles competition, Olivia Anderson beat an Atchison player 6-1,lost to Benton player love-6, lost to a Bishop LeBlond player 1-6 and lost to a Maryville player to finish 6th in her division.
Audrey Snyder beat an Atchison, Kansas player 6-0, lost to a Benton player 2-6, lost to a Bishop LeBlond player 1-6 then lost to a Maryville player 2-6 to finish sixth in her division.
