A Cameron woman attempting to cross the road was struck and had serious injuries in an accident on Highway 6 near Altamont Sunday. 20-year-old Cassie F James of Cameron was flown to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City for treatment of serious injuries following the accident that happened Sunday at about 8:45 pm. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports Cassie James was a pedestrian, crossing Highway 6, when she was struck by the vehicle driven by 28-year-old Nicole R Guitierrez of Gallatin, who was eastbound at the time of the accident.
