Two accidents and an arrest are in the Missouri Highway Patrol report for the area counties over the weekend.
A single-vehicle accident Sunday in Linn County left three teens injured. At about 4:25 pm, troopers responded to the rollover accident on Jarboe Road, east of Brookfield. According to the report, the truck driven by a 16-year-old girl was westbound and traveling too fast for the conditions while traveling through a curve. The vehicle slid off the right side of the road and overturned. The driver was wearing a safety belt and had minor injuries. The passengers, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, were not wearing safety belts and had moderate injuries. All three were taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment.
A two-vehicle accident in Polo Saturday at about 4:55 pm left a passenger with minor injuries. State Troopers in Caldwell County responded to the accident on Highway 13 at Highway 116 in Polo. According to the report, 78-year-old Herman L Funk of Stanberry was northbound and attempting to turn left while 26-year-old Rhea W Rardon of Polo was southbound and attempting to turn right. And struck the Funk vehicle on the passenger side. The drivers were not injured, but the passenger in the Funk vehicle, 77-year-old Sherry Funk, had minor injuries and was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Troopers in Daviess County arrested a Kansas City man at about 12:05 am Sunday. Twenty-seven-year-old Brandon T Shook was arrested for alleged DWI and failing to register a vehicle. He was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on a 12-hour hold.
