As Halloween is nearly here, it is time to review a little Halloween Safety. Jessica Trussell from the Livingston County Extension office says to make sure you’ve prepared your child to be safe and have some fun.
For costumes, Trussell says to make sure they are made of flame-resistant material.
Shoes that fit well are also important as a poor fitting shoe can result in tripping.
Make sure the child can be seen.
If a mask is worn, make sure the eye holes are big enough so as to not obstruct vision and the mouth or nose are big enough to allow the child to breathe easily.
Make-up is a better choice if it is possible, but make sure the make-up is non-toxic and can be washed off easily.
