The land deal to expand the City of Chillicothe’s industrial development opportunities is four years in the making. City Administrator Darin Chappell says it was one of the first projects he started on when he came to Chillicothe.
Chappell says talks continued and the city is working now to finalize the deal for an additional 200 acres, just to the east of that newly acquired property.
Chappell says the city is not doing this alone.
He says the property already has access to Route V and Mithcell Road. Access to 3rd Street is possible, The railroad borders the property, utilities are already on-site and Chappell says Fiber can be made available soon.
