Chillicothe had no problems in the Football District opening game against Kansas City Central Friday night. The Hornets scored in every quarter and picked up a 55-0 win, leading 21 – 0 after the first quarter and 42 – 0 at halftime.
For the Hornets, Damarcus Kelow scored three touchdowns in the first half. Braxton Johnson scored on a 10-yard run. Gage Leamer threw touchdowns to Max Wagers and two for Griff Bonderer. One of the passes bounced off Wagers and was then caught by Bonderer for a 49-yard play.
In the fourth quarter, starting Center Anderson DeJesus scored on a 2-yard run. 300-pound lineman Christian Peniston was also put in the backfield and had a short carry late in the game, but did not score.
