Chalk up another District Championship for Chillicothe. The Hornets Boys Soccer team played a remarkable game to upset top seed St Joseph Bishop LeBlond 1 to 0 to win the District Championship.
Chace Corbin scored the only goal off a Ben Cueni Smith assist in the 54th minute. Jaxon Albertson had six saves, including what Head Coach Tim Cunningham called “an incredible one to earn the clean sheet”
Cunningham also wanted to thank all the students that came out to support the team, and families of the players that have followed the team all season.
Chillicothe plays the winner of Harrisonville (8-10-1) vs KC Barstow (9-11) in the state quarterfinals on November 13th. The date and location has yet to be announced.
