The Chillicothe 8th grade girls basketball team beat Marshall’s Beuker Middle School team 25 to 6. Emerson Staton led all scorers with 14 points in 3quarters of play. Hayden Hansen added 5, Charley Peniston 4 and Maciee Albrecht took care of the ball and put in 2 points. Playing time for Mikey Kale, Lydia Gabrielson and Olivia Jenkins.
The Chillicothe 8th grade boys team also beat Beuker Middle School 26 to 22 in the Chillicothe Middle School field house. Jaishon White led all scorers with 22 points. Connor Perry and Drake Swift each had 2 points and Jackson Shafer added a point with playing time for Dane Ireland, Ben Brubaker, and Luke Thompson.
In an extended 2-quarter session, the Hornets won 12 to 10. Cristian Jimenez had 7 points. Tylin Smith added 4 points. Anthony Eckert added a point. and playing time for Colton Sullivan and Greg Crouch.
The teams have a double header tonight at 5 at CMS field house
