A Hale man had serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon near Hale. State Troopers report 65-year-old Robert S Sykes was taken to Hedrick Medical center by private vehicle following the accident on County Road 387, northeast of Hale. According to the report, Sykes was southbound and crossing the railroad tracks, when his vehicle was struck by a piece of railroad equipment.
