More than 225 calls for service were handled by Chillicothe Police Officers on Monday and Tuesday
Monday, officers handled 115 calls for service.
9:06 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a child separated from their grandparent in the 1000 block of Graves St. Officers were advised the grandparent was located and the two were reunited.
3:44 p.m., Officers arrested a 33-year-old male on an active arrest warrant for failure to appear out of Chillicothe after he turned himself into the Police Department. The male was able to post the required $250.00 cash-only bond. He was then released pending a court appearance.
4:13 p.m., a citizen came to the Police Department to report fraud. Officers spoke with the citizen and discovered it occurred in another jurisdiction. The citizen was referred to that jurisdiction.
7:54 p.m., Officers took a report of a possible violation of a protection order. The investigation is ongoing.
Tuesday, Officers handled 111 calls for service. Some of the calls include:
8:37 am, Officers investigating a 2 vehicle crash on the eastbound off-ramp from US36 to US65. Investigation is continuing.
1:12 pm, Officer received a report of an assault that is alleged to have occurred in 2020 in Chillicothe. Information received and investigation continuing.
8:51 pm, Officers conducted a traffic stop in reference to an improper display of a license plate. During the investigation, officers arrested the driver for driving while suspended and possession of a controlled substance. Driver was given citations and released with a court date.
10:28 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle at Cherry and Walnut Streets for a traffic violation. The warning was given for the violation and a citation was issued to the driver for no insurance.
11:58 pm, Officer stopped a vehicle at the US65 and US36 Junction for displaying expired registration plates. The driver was cited for the expired registration.
