A Brookfield man was injured in a two-vehicle accident south of Jacksonville in Randolph County Friday. State Troopers report 59-year-old Gary Summers of Brookfield sought his own treatment for minor injuries following the accident on US 63, at about 9:55 pm. According to the report, 42-year-old Jared L Sizemore of Bevier was northbound and ran into the back of the Summers vehicle, causing Summers to run off the road and into a field. Both drivers were wearing safety belts.
