The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Basketball Team suffered their first loss of the season in a 56-48 home loss to Columbia Hickman. Chillicothe trailed by just three points after three quarters.
Lady Hornets Coach Darren Smith gave credit to Hickman.
Unofficially, Chillicothe was led by Essie Hicks with 16 points, Jolie Bonderer with 15, Jessica Reeter with 10, Cali Burkhardt with 3, Ellie Barnett with 2 and playing time for Bre Pithan, Ella Leamer, Kayanna Cranmer and Izzy Montgomery. Chillicothe falls to 6-1 and Hickman improves to 7-1.
In the Junior Varsity game Chillicothe won 28 to 17. Liz Oliver led the Chillicothe JV with 12 points, Kayanna Cranmer with 6, Delanie Kieffer and Kealee French with four and Izzie Montgomery with two.
