The Livingston County/Collector Treasurer’s office is closed due to COVID concerns. Collector/Treasurer Diana Havens says in the interest of public safety they are not accepting anyone in the office. She says this will NOT change the due date for personal property and real estate tax payments due on or before December 31st.
Havens says the drop box at the courthouse will be checked regularly. On December 31st, at Midnight, they will empty the drop box and any items received after that time will be considered late.
For mailed items, the payment must be postmarked on or before December 31st to be considered on time.
The online payments have a few options, but are also due by midnight on the 31st.
If you have questions, you can call the Collector/Treasurer’s office at 660-646-8000, ext 7 and leave a message.
