The 7th Annual Chillicothe Community Christmas Dinner is being called a success by the organizers. Sharon Brooks stated they had almost 200 dine-in visitors, 65 drive-through meals, and 290 meals delivered to individuals, nursing homes, and businesses in the community.
The food was contributed by individuals and businesses throughout the Chillicothe community.
Brooks said the committee started the event with the purpose of helping those that are alone for Christmas day. Many members of the community have family gatherings before or after Christmas and then are left alone on the day of Christmas. She said the organizers do this for those whoever is in need.
