The Missouri Public Service Commission approved increases in the Demand Side Program Investment Mechanism or DSIM, for two areas that include counties in the KCHI listening area. The increases include:
Evergy Metro, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri Metro, to recover demand-side management program costs and incentives under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act (MEEIA). A residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month will see the charge increase by approximately $0.90 a month effective February 1, 2022. This includes customers in Carroll, Chariton, and Livingston counties locally.
For Evergy Missouri West, Inc. d/b/a Evergy Missouri West, a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month will see the charge increase by approximately $1.97 a month effective February 1, 2022. This includes the customers in the local counties of Carroll, Daviess, Grundy, and Livingston.
