A two-vehicle accident in Caldwell County Thursday left a 5-year-old child with minor injuries. State Troopers report the accident happened about 8:45 am on Pikes Road, west of Polo. The report states 18-year-old Abigail M Cline of Polo was southbound and crossed the centerline and struck a northbound vehicle driven by 45-year-old Justin C Wilson of Lee’s Summit. The drivers were not injured. The 5-year-old child was a passenger in the Wilson vehicle. That child was taken to Excelsior Springs Hospital for treatment. Everyone was wearing a safety belt.
