The Chillicothe Lady Hornets basketball team picked up a road win Thursday night 54 to 37 at East Buchanan High School. The Lady Hornets built an early lead and never trailed in the game, leading 28-19 at halftime.
Coach Darren Smith said East Buchanan’s 6’1″ Junior Gracie Kelsey was difficult to defend.
Kelsey finished with 22 points on the night.
Chillicothe was led by Essie Hicks with 15 points, Jolie Bonderer with 12, Jessica Reeter and Lucy Reeter both with nine points, Bre Pithan had four, Kayanna Cranmer with three and Madison Albaugh with two. Also receiving playing time were Delanie Kieffer, Clara Leamer, Izzy Montgomery, and Ellie Barnett.
Chillicothe won the JV game that was only two quarters long 33 to 4. Kayanna Cranmer led Chillicothe with 15 points, Izzy Garr had six, Delanie Kieffer and Izzie Montgomery each had four points and Madison Albaugh and Emily Schreiner both had two points
