The Chillicothe Police Department report for the weekend includes 180 calls for service from Friday – Sunday.
Friday
8:05 am, Officers responded to a three-vehicle non-injury crash in the 500 block of Elm St. One driver struck two parked vehicles. The driver was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance.
9:16 am, Officers were dispatched to dogs running-at-large and caused property damage in the 600 block of Grandview Ave. Officers responded and contacted the owners who were able to resecure the dogs.
10:17 a.m., Officers conducted a well-being check in the 500 block of Vine St. Officers discovered the person was suicidal and needed assistance. They were taken to a hospital for treatment and evaluation.
8:58 p.m., Officers conducted an investigation of possible drug activity in the 600 block of Cowgill St.
Saturday,
6:05 am, Officers were dispatched to suspicious persons possibly stealing from a motor vehicle in the 1400 block of Webster St. Officers responded but were unable to locate the suspicious persons at that time. A report was taken for stealing and the investigation continues.
10:13 am, Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury traffic crash, where one vehicle left the scene in the 500 block of Jackson St. Officers responded and started an investigation. They later located the driver of the vehicle that left the scene, who was arrested for leaving the scene of crash, processed and released.
10:57 am, Officers were dispatched to a possible vehicle crash on private property in the 1000 block of Graves St.
Sunday,
4:36 am, Officers were dispatched to a possible rape in the 400 block of J.F.K. Ave. Officers responded and contacted the reporting party.
5:24 am, Officers responded to a report of a speeding vehicle traveling Westbound on US 36 toward Chillicothe. Officers were able to locate and stop the vehicle.
8:46 am, Officers were dispatched to a leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash at Easton and Jackson St.’s. A vehicle struck a stop sign and left the scene. The investigation is on-going.
11:27 am, Officers took a report of stealing in the 800 block of Webster St. A suspect has been identified and charges are pending.
