The Chillicothe Lady Hornets picked up another win over Lawson 50 to 29 in the first round of the Cameron Tournament. It’s the third time Chillicothe has beaten Lawson this season.
Both teams had a strong first quarter, ending in a 12-all tie. Chillicothe started pulling away in the second quarter 27 to 20 and 41 to 22 after three quarters.
Chillicothe was led by Jessica Reeter with nine points, Essie Hicks with eight, Jolie Bonderer and Lucy Reeter with seven each, Cali Burkhardt with six, Clara Leamer and Bre Pithan with four each, Izzie Montgomery with three, Kayanna Cranmer with two and playing time for Delanie Kieffer and Madison Albaugh.
The Chillicothe boys play tonight against host Cameron with a 7PM tip off. The Lady Hornets will face #4 seed Cameron at 5:30 on Wednesday.
