A brush fire Wednesday morning spread to a shed. Chillicothe firefighters responded to the fire at 107 East Second Street. The call came in about 4:35 am for a brush fire approaching a structure. The fire department arrived in three minutes to find a shed was also burning in the back of the lot. The 5×5 shed had a motorbike and tiller inside. The report also states the fire had spread to the neighbor’s yard and fenceline.
The firefighters noted a pile of ashes from a wood stove that had been dumped the previous day. The fire had also spread to a tire pile.
Four hundred gallons of water and foam was used to put out the fire. They were on the scene for less than 30 minutes.
