The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for early February includes several arrests and investigations.
February 1st deputies investigated a report of fraud. The victim opened an email claiming they had won a prize and required the victim to obtain Goggle Play Cards and provide that information to the scammer to claim the prize. The victim ended up being out $1,600.

On February 1st
31-year-old Vernon Wayne Hines of Avalon, was arrested by Chillicothe Police, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear on Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond set at $25,000 cash.
31-year-old Jared Allen Johnson of Braymer surrendered on a Livingston County warrant for Alleged Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended. He posted bond and was released.
February 2nd
36-year-old Isse Mohamed Hassan of Minnesota was arrested on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Involuntary Manslaughter-1st degree. Hassan posted bond and was released pending a Court appearance.
February 9th
34-year-old Megan Marie Maggard of Springfield was arrested by Greene County officials on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Failure to Appear on a 3rd or subsequent offense of alleged Driving Without a Valid License. She has a Missouri parole warrant and we extradite her from DOC.

February 3rd, deputies arrested 53-year-old Karla Ann Knouse of Wheeling on Chillicothe Municipal arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of alleged No Auto Insurance and Failure to Register a Vehicle. She posted bond and was released with a court date.
Citations:
On February 3rd, Deputies received information of a dually pickup pulling a flatbed trailer with heavy equipment, driving on US 36 near Wheeling at a very high rate of speed. The deputy located the vehicle near Chillicothe, but it had slowed to less than the speed limit and was displaying emergency flashers. The pickup took the US 65 ramp and turned north pulling into the path of a northbound van nearly causing a collision. The Texas driver was stopped and cited for the failure to yield at the intersection and given warnings on other violations.
