Grand River Technical School hosted the District 19 Leadership Conference this week. The event includes competition in numerous areas, where top performers would move on to the State FBLA Conference in April.
District Advisor Sondra Sturguess says the performance events were judged during this week’s event, which was partially handled by district officers, including several from the Chillicothe Chapter.
Twenty-three chapters participated in the District Leadership Conference, including several area schools.
Sturguess says in the performance area, first place in each event moves on to the State Leadership Conference on April 10th and 11th in Springfield.
Chillicothe has five teams or individuals that placed first in the performance events and 19 that qualified in the online testing.
In addition to the members that will participate in the State Competition, the District officers, including the newly elected President Madison Kieffer and Vice President of FBLA/PBL Relations Gabe Peterson.
Sturgues says Kieffer is also running for a state office.
