An offender at the Chillicothe Correction Center died Tuesday evening. The Missouri Department of Corrections reported 56-year-old Claudette Pate had been taken to St. Luke’s in Kansas City, where she later died.
Pate was serving a 12-year sentence for forgery and delivery or possession of a weapon at county/private jail from Crawford County. She began serving her sentence in 2016. The Department of Corrections reports Pate died of apparent natural causes.
