Two drivers died in a head-on collision in Clinton County Wednesday afternoon. State Troopers report 35-year-old Christopher C McCubbin of Polo and 73-year-old Lance M Romig of Kansas City were killed as a result of the accident that happened on Missouri 116, just east of Lathrop. According to the report, McCubbin was eastbound and crossed the centerline, resulting in a head-on collision. McCubbin died at the scene, Romig and a passenger, 74-year-old Cory H Day of Glad Stone were taken to Liberty Hospital. Romig died at the hospital. Day was treated for moderate injuries.
