A single-vehicle accident on US 24 in Chariton county Sunday evening left a Brunswick resident with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 80-year-old Gail D Stephenson was westbound at about 4:25 pm when he ran off the road and struck the ditch. Stephenson was taken to Carroll County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. He was wearing a safety belt.
