Three area residents were involved in two-vehicle accidents this morning.
At about 5:40 am, near Polo, an accident left one driver with serious injuries and the other with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 47-year-old Bradley R Kerste of Polo was had serious injuries following the accident on Missouri 116. According to the report, Kerste was eastbound and crossed the centerline, striking a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Donald F Jeffers of Braymer, head-on. Jeffers had moderate injuries. Both were taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
At about 6:35 am, an accident on I-35 near Armour Road in Clay County left one with minor injuries. The report states 33-year-old Jonathan M Arnold of Gallatin was northbound and lost control. His car fishtailed and crossed traffic, where it was struck by a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Russell Reed Jr of Kansas City. Reed was treated at North Kansas City Hospital. Arnold was not injured.
