Two ballot issues for the Chillicothe R-II School District will be part of the April 5th election. The School District is asking the voters to approve a no levy increase for improvements in the district. The Superintendent, Dr Dan Wiebers, and a couple of committee members, Julie McCoy and Dave Rogers, answered questions about the items on the ballot.
The group has already talked bout the purpose of the levy and that it is not an increase from what the taxpayers are paying now.
Committee member Dave Rogers says they know residents are concerned about the current school buildings that would be vacated.
Another concern from the community has been traffic congestion at Chillicothe Elementary School after expansion. Superintendent Wiebers says they are working on that issue.
Wiebers urges anyone with questions to contact himself and others working on the project.
