Hornets Track and Field Teams Dominate at Jack McCush Relays

The Chillicothe girls and boys track and field teams were both in competition at the Jack McCush Relays at Boonville High School on Thursday.

The girls team took home 7 top finishes including:

1^st  in the 400 meter dash for Kayanna Cranmer – 1:02.8

1^st in the 1600 meter run for Jolie Bonderer – 5:54.16

1^st in the 4×800 meter relay for Bonderer, Cranmer, Kadence Shipers and Kayla Cakranata. – 11:06.19

2^nd in the 3200 meter run for Shipers – 13:38.02

2^nd in the 100 meter hurdles for Emmy Dillion – 17.85

2^nd in javelin for Hope Helton – 30.10 meters

3^rd in the 4x400m relay for Bonderer, Cranmer, Anna Pfaff and Bronlyn Ward – 4:27.23

The boys team had 13 top 3 finishes including:

1^st  in the 300 meter hurdles for Braxten Johnson – 42.90

1^st  for Damarus Kelow in shot put (14.59 meters) and discus (42.46 meters)

1^st  in javelin for Isaiah Sprong – 43.50 meters

2^nd in 200 meter dash for Quentin Cranmer – 24.14

2^nd in 3200 meter run for Cain Evans – 4:59.81

2^nd in 110 meter hurdles for Braxten Johnson – 15.90

2^nd in 4×200 meter relay for Javon Kille, Charles Walker, Johnson and Cranmer – 1:38.24

2^nd in javelin for Cy Evans – 42.73 meters

2^nd in pole vault for Gavin Funk – 3.35 meters

3^rd for Cain Evans in 1600 meter run – 4:59.81

3^rd for Tristan Forck in High Jump – 1.80 meters

3^rd for Javon Kille in Triple Jump – 12.80 meters

As a team, the girls program finished 2^nd behind Cameron High School with 104 team points, and the boys squad took 1^st with 138 team points.
