The deadline for filing your state and federal income tax is today. IRS Spokesperson Micheal Devine says if you can not file a completed form by the end of today, you should file for an extension.
Devine says if you owe taxes, you still need to pay those “on-time” to avoid penalties.
Devine says part of the form you file will help you to estimate the taxes you may owe.
You can file for the extension electronically or by mail.
