Marshall needed three games to beat the Chillicothe Girls Volleyball team Monday night in Chillicothe. The Lady Hornets won the first game 25-23 but Marshall won the final two games 22-25 and 17-25.
In statistics for the match Catey Trout had nine digs. Devin Dowell had two aces, three kills and give digs.
Elli Ross had a strong match with an ace, 13 assists and 11 digs. Kaylee Lewis contributed six kills, one assist and three digs. Kennedie Kieffer had six kills and a dig. Kylie Larson led the team with 17 digs.
Maggie Pfaff had five kills. Maya Snyder had three kills and five digs while Shawna Coplen had two digs.
In the undercard matches Chillicothe won the Junior Varsity 25-19, 25-15 led by Haylee Coplen with seven assists and the Freshmen Lady Hornets won 25-13 and 25-14, led by Amanda Brade with 13 service points.
