The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report for late April and early May includes
April 25 Deputies began an investigation where a criminal stole the catalytic converter from a parked church van in Utica.
April 25 about 11:34 p.m. Deputies investigated the death of an elderly female in the 1000 block of LIV 418. Preliminary investigation suggests the person passed from natural causes.
April 27 evening Deputies responded to a possible burglary in progress in Wheeling. One suspect was located in Chillicothe and deputies recovered some property from a vehicle. Deputies later located another vehicle and occupants were also allegedly involved in the crime and additional stolen property was recovered from that vehicle. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were also discovered on one juvenile. The incident was turned over to the juvenile office.
April 30 about 10:34 a.m. Deputies began working a rural residence burglary on LIV 447, where forced entry was made through a window and firearms, ammunition, and possibly other property was stolen from the home.
The toxicology and autopsy report on a death investigation from March 2nd shows the adult female died from fentanyl overdose. The investigation continues.
May 02 Deputies deputy made a traffic stop for expired plates that led to the arrest of the 30-year-old driver, Kevin Ray Bethards of Iowa, on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Failure to Appear on a speeding charge. Bethards posted the $145 bond was released with a new court date.
