KCHI Radio presented the Leatherman Broadcast & Communication Scholarship to a senior entering the Broadcast Communications or Journalism Field in College. Program Director Kate Kelly had the announcement of this year’s winner.
KCHI and Investor’s Community Bank presented the “A” for Achievement Scholarships of $200 each. Students receiving the “A” for Achievement Scholarship are the top 10 students based solely on grade point average. The awards were presented by KCHI Program Director Kate Kelly and Lora Crouch from Investor’s Community Bank and were announced by Kelly.
The Leatherman family also presented two scholarships to honor the memory of Dan Leatherman, who passed away suddenly in 2018. Patti, Daniel, and Maggie Leatherman presented two GDL or “Groovy Dan Leatherman” scholarships of $1,000 to Anderson De Jesus and Joshua Eckert.
