Two serious injury accidents were investigated by State Troopers in Caldwell County Sunday evening.
At 7:30 pm in a field near SE McBee Road near Braymer, 74-year-old Clifford Webb of Braymer crashed his ATV in an open field. The ATV rolled onto its side. Webb was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment. Webb was also arrested for alleged DWI. He was released for treatment.
At 7:25 pm on Route D at Colt road near Polo, a 17-year-old boy from Kingston had serious injuries when he was northbound and ran off the east side of the road. He overcorrected and ran off the west side of the road, striking a tree. He was not wearing a safety belt. He was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
A single-vehicle accident in Randolph County early this morning left two Salisbury residents with moderate injuries. State Troopers report 21-year-old Retha P Johnson of Salisbury was southbound on US 63 near Clark and struck a deer. She and her 18-year-old passenger, Zoey F Johnson of Salisbury were taken to Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Columbia. They were wearing safety belts.
