The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 126 calls for service Friday. Some of the calls were for service of papers, and well being checks.
8:34 am, Officer out at Danner Park for a report of vandalism. A urinal in the Men’s restroom had been shattered/destroyed. Investigation continuing.
11:03 am, Two vehicle, non-injury crash was reported in the lot at Chillicothe High School. A car backed into School Bus.
11:21 am, Officers responded to the 200 block of Clay Street on a report of a domestic disturbance. A 44-year-old was arrested for domestic assault and taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.
12:06 pm, Two vehicle, non-injury vehicle crash in the 1200 block of N. Washington Street that temporarily blocked both northbound lanes. One vehicle was towed. Information obtained and report taken.
2:14 pm, Officers responded to the 200 block of Samuel Street for a person with anxiety issues and making threats to harm others and wanting to be harmed. That person was taken into protective custody and later transferred by Court order to a facility for evaluation and treatment.
3:29 pm, Report of vehicle on Broadway Street driving by kids walking and shooting pellets at them. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
3:47 pm, An individual came to the PD to turn themselves in on a Caldwell County warrant. They were processed and posted bond.
5:19 pm, Another report of the vehicle driving by and shooting pellets at kids in the area of Third Street. Officers unable to locate.
8:36 pm, Kids on 4-wheeler and dirt bike in the area of Clay and Dickinson. Officer contacted the kids and parents. Warnings given.
8:43 pm, Report of a speeding vehicle on Broadway Street. Officers contacted a young driver. Warnings were given and a parent was advised.
