I-35 Road Paving Set To Begin

If you have plans traveling north out of Missouri to Iowa on I-35 the next few weeks, you may run into a resurfacing project.
The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted a company to resurface I-35 from Route N at Eagleville in Harrison County to the Iowa State Line.
The contractor completed concrete patching and bridge work earlier this year to prepare the road for resurfacing.
The second phrase of the work begins Monday October 1st starting at the Iowa State Line and working southward, milling off and refilling a four feet section near the shoulder and a two foot section near the center line. When the southbound lanes are complete, work will begin on the northbound lanes. One lane of I-35 will remain open in each direction during the work.
The following week the contractor will begin work on the driving lanes. During the project the road will remain open to drivers but it may be necessary to close on and off ramps periodically.
The work is targeted for a Mid-November completion date.
