The Missouri Pesticide Collection Program will be in Chillicothe June 11th. The program is designed to help protect human health and the environment by collecting and ensuring safe disposal of waste pesticides from Missouri farmers and households; and and to do this while educating Missouri citizens about how to properly manage and reduce pesticide waste.
All pesticides collected during the event are transported off-site by a licensed hazardous waste contractor to a permitted hazardous waster incineration facility for disposal.
They will accept all pesticides from Missouri farmers and households, including, but not limited to: fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, rodenticides fertilizers containing pesticides, de-wormers and fly-tags.
They do ask that you call ahead if you plan to bring in bulk containers of pesticides.
The collection event will be June 11th from 8:00 am to noon at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center.
